Warwickshire – Easter Fun

As you have gathered, I love Warwick.  The place, the people, the old fashioned charm and despite moving back over 15 months ago, the place still feels like home.  I had wanted to visit the midlands for Easter weekend and due to other issues (Doc’s indecision….) we have decided to stay at home and visit places in the North West.  But i thought I would share some of the offers and activities that I found just in case these help other families trying to have a fun weekend on a budget.

Hatton Adventure World is a fantastic day out.  It is one of the best farms I have visited and is definitely worth the visit.  Interactive bird shows, fun fair rides, live shows and indoor play area, there’s enough to keep you occupied for the whole day.  I found this fantastic deal for 2 for 1 on tickets.  Here is the link: https://hattonfarmvillage.digitickets.co.uk/category/1857

Hill Close Garden has special events on over Easter weekend.  We had originally planned to go to the Sunday event and here is the link http://www.hillclosegardens.com/events.html Easter bonnet, Eater trail and Parade are included.  Under 5s are free so ideal for preschool children.

Charlecote Park (National Trust).  This park has excellent ratings and was on my list of things to visit in the midlands.  Many of the National Trust sites have Easter egg trails set up with an egg being given to everyone who has completed the trail.  This is the first year that we have bought the National Trust Membership and here’s a discount code (given you 20% off) if you want annual family membership.  Discount Code: F14001

Warwick Castle and Kenilworth Castle have Easter events on.  We have Merlin Passes so we had planned to go and see Warwick Castle whilst we were in the area.  You can get 2 for 1 for Warwick castle from various Cereal boxes.  For Kenilworth Castle, it is free entry if you are a member of English Heritage.

We also had a few back up plans in case of bad weather.

Odeon Cinema have the special Kids discounted showings on http://www.odeon.co.uk/kids/ so it makes for a great rainy day activity.
