For those who have been following along our adventures on Facebook are aware that I was taken ill in Sri Lanka and even though we have continued with our adventure I am unfortunately not feeling so great. One thing we did before we decided to fly out to the Maldives was to check what medical facilities are available on the resort. I would recommend this for any travellers, especially those who have medical conditions to ensure that they have adequate services available. As the resort is located 40 minutes sea plane flight from Male it is imperative to ensure you have the correct level of medical facilities available. Adaaran Meedhapparu has a doctor onsite and this morning we got to test this out. It was great to have the doctor there and he was able to prescribe me some medication and the facilities and equipment on site were more than I would have expected from a hotel doctor. As the day has worn on, I am still no better so we are still keeping an eye on it.
Once the rain subsided the little adventurers were keen to go swimming and they loved relaxing at the pool. Being all inclusive they have had the best time being able to order any of the drinks and mocktails that they want. When you are 9,7 and 5 that is the thing that apparently makes a good holiday into an epic holiday. Once the blue skies were out, the little adventurers were keen to head back to the pier and go swimming with all the fish. Today the conditions for swimming in the sea were much better as there was very little current. That is something to be really wary of as yesterday the seas current was really strong and I could see the little adventurers really struggling and they are pretty confident swimmers.
I hope you feel better soon x
