Geronimo Festival for Fantastic Family Fun
Geronimo Festival for Fantastic Family Fun
As we mentioned earlier in the year we have been chosen as Ambassadors for the Geronimo Festival. The festival will be making its debut over May Bank Holiday weekend (May 23 – 25) and has all the makings of a fantastic, fun filled family day out.
The festival have announced new additional for the already jam-packed line up of live shows and amazing experiences for the whole family to enjoy. Some of the highlights for the fiveadventurers are:
Luke & Emma
Children will be able to join Luke & Emma on their pop, pre-school adventure. ‘A Song a Day LIVE!’ is an action-packed, educational, musical journey and all Geronimites are invited along for the ride! The up-beat, lively production uses music, audience participation and buckets of fun to educate you and your little ones about the world we live in. Luke and Emma will be performing two live shows a day (Sat and Sun only). My little adventurers loved Hi-5 and this sounds perfect for children as interactive, fun shows are always the most engaging and memorable for children.
Samba
The Manchester School of Samba who will be holding daily workshops and leading a procession at 4.30pm each day at the festival. The first samba school in the North West, the Manchester School of Samba focus on Brazilian carnival art forms and will be teaching rhythm and dance from different parts of Brazil to all ages at all levels during the festival. My little adventurers love a little boogie and learning about a new type of music will be great fun for all the families.
Cbeebies Stars
The little adventurers are going to be totally star struck with numerous Cbeebies stars on the line up for the event including Cook & Line from Swashbuckle (Sat and Sun only), Mr Bloom, Katy Ashworth and Alex Winters.
LEGOLAND Discovery Centre & Sea Life Manchester
These will definitely prove to be hits with boys and girls alike, with the Master Model Build workshops will be setting up base, and Sea Life Manchester will be bringing with them Geronimo’s very own Touch Pool where festival-goers can touch and feel the exciting sea creatures.
Under 3ft & Under Zone,
I love the fact that Geronimo has really strived to provide activities for everyone and Zayn (aged 2) will be delighted with the Tumble Tots who will be offering taster sessions for children from walking to 5 years old. Each 20-minute session will give children a fun and challenging experience on specially designed colourful, wooden and foam play equipment and other activity in this zone includes a pop-up petting farm, donkey rides and a super bouncy inflatable village.
The Adrenaline Zone
This is for all the bravest of adventurers as Geronimo will be making the most of the beautiful woodland backdrops at Tatton Park and are having tree climbing, den making and a thrilling zip line that will reach speeds of up to 60KPH! Maya cannot wait to go an explore, she will be in element here 🙂
These are only some of the few activities that will be running and families will be spoilt for choice with numerous activities including interactive storytelling, baby massage and baby yoga. There is also a circus Zone, Groovy Zone and a Funky Junk zone. It sounds like a fabulous day and guaranteed to have families leaving the event extremely happy (and very exhausted)
