Fantastic Value Family Breaks During School Holidays in Leicestershire

As a family of 5, I often look at the impending school holidays with a sinking feeling.  The cost of hotels and days outs soon add up.  These costs are often are so expensive that most families do not even look at them as being feasible options.  Here at fiveadventurers we are always keen to give family real options of good value breaks and help them have some adventures as a family.  

During one of my may hours scouring the internet I came across the fantastic Stay,Play & Explore Leicestershire and think they are fantastic value family breaks during school holidays in Leicestershire.  The deal is fantastic value and includes a hotel stay and entrance to some of the areas best attractions for a family of four.  I love the fact that the price for these packages is the same regardless of the time of year and even in school holidays.  Travelling in school holidays and the price hikes that normally happen is a pet peeve of mine and seeing the same price all year round is a lovely, refreshing change!  

Through the deal you can have one or two nights stay at some of the best hotels in Leicestershire from the Marriot, Hilton to the likes of Hinkley Island Hotel.  We have stayed at Hinckley Island and cannot recommend it highly enough, here is our review and we had a great stay.  The little adventurers had so much fun that Raihan and Maya are always asking to return!  In addition to the hotel stay dependent on which package you choose (there’s a family fun and family adventure) you choose 3 out of 5 attractions that are included.   We have visited Conkers and Twinlakes during random visits to the midlands, they were great days out with the children and are highly recommended..  Here are some of pictures from our days out and our review of Twinlakes is here.  



In relation to which option that you choose, there are a few two different options dependent on the ages and interests of your children.  There is the family fun option including Conkers, National Space Centre, Twycross Zoo, Twinlakes Theme Park and Stonehurst Family Farm.  The second option is family adventure which include Swadlicote Ski Centre, Ranger led visit to Conkers, Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre, Bosworth Water Park and Rosliston Forestry Centre.  

With fascinating attractions and places to explore, it’s the perfect place to bring the family for a weekend or a few days in the holidays for an action packed and fun filled few days. The stay, play and explore short breaks start from just £129 (for 1 night) or £209 (for 2 nights) and I think they are fantastic value.   There is still availability for Easter holidays and also May Half term.  I think it will be a fantastic few days away for families and is great value given the cost of the hotels and a family ticket for most of these attractions would be in the region of £40 per each attraction!
