Our Top 10 Travel Must Haves… as chosen by our little adventurers

#MarkWarnerMum Mood Board

In our household, our little adventurers are always at the forefront of our holiday plans and are always active participants in choosing activities and future travel destinations.  So when we found out that Mark Warner were searching for their new family blogger ambassadors, who better to ask for input than my intrepid, little adventurers.

We are huge fans of crafts and creating, so with it being half term I let the little adventurer’s creative juices flow with some chalk in the park, and this is their 10 Travel Must Haves….

so here goes….

Maya: “I love wearing matching outfits but even though mummy searches high and low in the shops, we can’t always find them.  So last year mummy found an online shop called Sunuva  which sells matching “siblings” clothes.  Now I have clothes to match the boys!”

Raihan:  “We all love sunglasses and have so many, but we are from Lancashire and it rains here, a lot. We have renamed them to rain glasses, and the first thing we love to buy when mummy plans our next adventure is a new pair!”

Maya:  “Selfies are so 2016, and 2017 will be all about the Dronies.  We are buying our mummy a drone and we can’t wait for it to fly high in the sky capturing our adventures from a bird’s eye view.  Now that we can all swim, dad has promised to let us take the GoPro underwater to film the sea life!”

Maya & Raihan: “Mummy absolutely loves books.  She can easily read a book a day.  We both love reading too and we read everywhere on our travels, from the acropolis in Athens to the beaches in Borneo!  Mummy only lets us take a few books, but as we love them so much we always try to sneak them into the suitcases.  shhhh, don’t tell mummy!”

A ‘travel must have’ list is much more then just materialistic items which you pack; In order for it to be a memorable travel adventure, there needs to be….experiences galore!

Zayn: “We LOVE jumping on beds, i LOVE doing forward flips”

Maya:  “We have slept in hundreds of hotel beds and to know how good a hotel is, it is important to try out the “Bounciness-of-a-bed-test” (it is a real thing).  If our Zayn can forward flip with one bounce, its the correct level of bouncy…”

Raihan: “I love climbing in the rainforests and pretending to be an explorer like Ernie Shackelton, but I also love relaxing!  In our travels I love it when we spend time as a family and have lots of treats and relax in hammocks!”

Maya: “Me and my brothers love to try as many new things as possible. We’ve been parasailing in Malaysia, on Husky rides in Lapland and tested out the fastest looping rollercoaster in Abu Dhabi.  My mummy says that travelling is the best education that she can give us! I love going on holiday where we can try new things, and learning to windsurf and ski are the next two things on my list”

Maya: “Its so cool that we all learnt to swim whilst on holiday, I learnt in Turkey, Raihan in the Legoland Hotel and Zayn in Finland.  We love to try out the pools on our holidays and no matter how many hours we spend in the water, we never get bored”

Raihan: “Mummy loves to show us beautiful views of the world.  She loves to take our photographs in front of cool views of mountains, beaches or the city skyline for her blog and Instagram.   Capturing these amazing views always makes me remember the places we have visited”

Everyone:  “Our dad is always busy and works long hours so we can have so many incredible adventures.  When  on holiday we love it as our dad relaxes and lets go of all his worries.  On holiday we do lots of relaxing, giving everything a go and making memories to last a lifetime!”

So there you have our little adventurers 10 must have travel essentials.  Do you agree?

For Doc and I, we have two hopes for our children which are:

So why should we be chosen to be the Mark Warner ambassadors?

As a family we have a fresh take on everything and bring our own passion, imagination and unique view on life to everything we do.  Travelling is one passion we share as a family and love to bring the magic of travel into our lives and show our little adventurers the wonder of our amazing world through our experiences.   As you can see from the above, we love to bring a little colour, magic and our creative touch into the ordinary.  A testament to raising brave little adventurers is that they braved the freezing Lancashire February weather to allow us to take photographs in their swimming costumes on our local park floor!

For those who don’t know about Mark Warner holidays, they offer amazing moments for both sun and winter holidays!

This is our application to be #MarkWarnerMum 2017.

Nisbah

I am a traveller, mother and blogger. We love to go on adventures (big and small, near and far) and strive to show our children how amazing and beautiful the world is! I caught the travel bug many moons ago and despite having three little adventurers, I still suffer from "itchy" feet. We love the great outdoors and one another. Come and join the fun :)

I love this post, Nisbah! Those photos of your kids are just brilliant and I absolutely agree that experiences are the most important travel must-haves. They definitely are for our boys. My youngest son is also hoping for new sunglasses for his travels this year – he quite fancies a pair of rose-tinted ones!
