From freezing household objects with liquid nitrogen to exploding bins, rocket propelled chairs, giant airzooka and testing how to make a really big BANG, who knew science could be this fun?”

Diggerland

For all parents of little boys (and quite a few girls) you will realise that all children love diggers.  For any digger fans there is no better way of spending a day then in the vicinity of diggers of all shapes and sizes and this is where diggerland is a fabulous choice.  Children can have so many different rides, and most excitingly they can have a try at loads of different diggers.  We visited in October (its on my blog post list to do) and the children were literally in fits of glees.  Its a must for any digger fans or parents wanting something different from a traditional theme park.  There are four locations acoss the UK, in Yorkshire, Devon, Durham and Kent.  If you purchase your tickets online you can save 15%.

Bewilderwood

Here at five adventurers we love to try all the unique and wonderful attractions and we love, love the look of Bewilderwood in Norfolk.  A true return to the adventures of the great outdoors.  They have a fabolous event on over half term labelled the Boggle Wish Bonfire.  The ‘Boggle Wish Bonfire’ is the first week long event of the season and once you’ve clambered across jungle bridges, whizzed down zipwires, slithered down the Slippery Slopes and taken part in the storytelling, head ‘this way’ to the ‘Big Hat’.  It sounds like a truly magical day out.  Prices for individuals are £14 per adult and £12 for those taller then 92 cm.  Children under 92cm are free!

From the pictures and the sites (and feedback from a friend) you will have a fabulous day out.  We would love to visit with our adventurers on a trip to that part of the country.

I would recommend booking a hotel for the night before the visit to a theme park to make it feel like a break. You can bag some real bargains from the likes of travelodge even at this late stage.  Whatever you do, we hope you have a fabulous half term 🙂

Nisbah

I am a traveller, mother and blogger. We love to go on adventures (big and small, near and far) and strive to show our children how amazing and beautiful the world is! I caught the travel bug many moons ago and despite having three little adventurers, I still suffer from "itchy" feet. We love the great outdoors and one another. Come and join the fun :)
