Geronimo Festival 2015 we are the Ambassadors

Here at fiveadventurers, we love to get our little adventurers outdoors, seeking adventures, experiencing imaginative and exciting ways to play and most importantly to spend quality time as a family.   So we are thrilled and extremely proud to share the news that we have been chosen as one of the Geronimo Festival Ambassadors.  Here’s the first view of our lovely Ambassador badge! 🙂

So what is the Geronimo Festival?

Gernonimo Festival is the newest family focused festival and looks set to be great addition to the festival scene.  The festival is making its debut over May bank holiday weekend (23rd – 25th May 2015) and is taking place in the beautiful grounds of Tatton Park.  We love the idea behind the festival being “a long weekend of organised mayhem…and is set to deliver an exciting programme of acts, amazing experiences and wonderful adventures, resulting in a fantastic family day out.”

So what or who will you find at the Geronimo Festival

The set up of the festival is divided into various different areas bringing new adventures and fun to visitors at every turn.  The main age range that the event is aimed at is 2 – 12 years old and there is lots of different activities across the day and location to meet the requirements of the differing age groups.

The festival will have the Adrenaline Zone will challenge even the bravest adventurers with a high ropes course, tree climbing, den making and a thrilling zip line that will reach speeds of up to 60KPH!  This sounds like so much fun and I can imagine Doc and Maya (the thrill seekers in our house) having an absolute ball in this area.

Climbing

Creative kids will be truly spoilt for choice with lots of craft workshops in the Funky Junk Zone. From cookie decorating to buggy makeovers (how awesome does that sound?!)  This will be a big hit with all of my adventurers as there’s nothing that makes them happier than a glitter overload.

Craft

Venturing on the children will definitely be in awe at the breathtaking aerial trapeze artists or laugh out loud at the clowns in the Circus Zone with regular shows taking place throughout the day. I love the fact that the children will also be able to get hands on in this area and try a new skill and pick up some tips of the trade!

One thing that I often think is overlooked are the younger children who attend these festivals and as a mum of a 2 year old its something that I am always mindful of when looking at booking tickets to events and attractions.   However, Geronimo Festival seems to have pulled out all the stops and have confirmed activities including a pop-up petting farm, giant sandpits, camel rides, marvellous bubble shows and a super bouncy inflatable village in the 3ft & Under Zone.  This is perfect for our 2-year-old toddler, and there will be more than enough to keep him entertained 🙂

Little Boy

But no festival is complete without a jam-packed stage zone and Geronimo is no different with the Geronostage. They have confirmed that that the Cbeebies favourite Mr. Bloom, who will be performing live twice a day and  CBeebies ‘I Can Cook’ presenter, Katy Ashworth, will also be making three live stage appearances daily, along with daily meet and greets. More live acts to be announced soon, so watch this space.

Ticket Prices and where to buy

The festival has an early bird offer on at the moment with ticket prices as low as £16 per person, but these wont be around for long. Once they are sold out the next band of tickets will be priced at £20 per person with some discount available for those purchasing family tickets.  For full details of the tickets, pricing and event head over to the Geronimo site.

I think that the event sounds like a fun, fantastic, adventure packed festival with lots to do, see and experience.  It made me smile when I read one of the aims of the festival is focused on quality family time to encourage families to play, learn and have fun together!  I think this is a huge aspect in our everyday lives that is becoming overlooked and is something that we should try and do more of!

One final note, I know as a parent, I often worry with new ventures but I love that the festival director has made the statement that “With Geronimo, we’ve created a festival that’s going to keep the kids entertained all day long, and create memories that will last a lot longer.”  It is always reassuring that the people behind a venture strive and actively believe in the event and and really want to deliver a day that will live up to the expectations of the visitors.

We will be updating our blog and social media (Facebook and twitter) with all the programme updates and news about the event!  We are very excited to be part of the adventure 🙂

Nisbah

I am a traveller, mother and blogger. We love to go on adventures (big and small, near and far) and strive to show our children how amazing and beautiful the world is! I caught the travel bug many moons ago and despite having three little adventurers, I still suffer from "itchy" feet. We love the great outdoors and one another. Come and join the fun :)
