Art in Paradise 3D Museum Chiang Mai Review
Oceans, dinosaurs and leaping tigers all housed under one roof? Let me introduce you to the Art in Paradise 3D Museum Chiang Mai. Billed as the largest interactive art Gallery in the world, we decided to add this to our itinerary of things to in Chiang Mai. We weren’t sure what to expect from the exhibition nor if the little adventurers would enjoy the activity but we thought it looked great so we decided to visit. Nearly 2.5 hours in the museum and coming out with a whole host of fantastic photos and lots of smiling faces, we can wholeheartedly recommend this as a must do activity especially travelling children.
What is the Art in Paradise exhibit?
The Art in Paradise exhibit is the first Illusion Art Museum showcasing Illusion Art and artworks that allow visitors to take part in the artworks. Visitors are able to get hands on and take photos using their imagination, emotion to make it work with each painting according to their own preferences. The creaer of the exhibitsIllusion art is a sensory perception that causes a distorted or altered impression. Since illusion is not the opposite of reality, the effect of illusion one experiences is neither true nor false. Illusion art is a sensory perception that causes a distorted or altered impression. The illusion of depth in paintings and installation art are presented as two-dimensional surfaces by combining a variety of art elements, special techniques and professional skills. This transforms ordinary artworks into extraordinary three-dimensional interactive environments.
What we thought?
We loved the exhibition. It is totally hands on and perfect even for the youngest of children. As there are lots of different images, emotions and things to look at it, there are lots you can talk to the children about. Its also one of the best museums to start as an introduction of museums to little adventurers. We all had a great time even our two year old was really excited moving from exhibit to exhibit, asking what the picture was and how they can get involved. They had great indications of where to take photos from so we left Maya run wild with the camera wen she wasn’t posing. There is so much for everyone to like and see, I think its a great place to visit. The exhibit is also an ideal place to escape the rain or midday heat. Located nearby the Night Market, a visit here can easily be combined with a night visit to the market. The exhibition is opened till 9pm each night so ideal to do both in one evening. The cost of the exhibition was reasonable at 300 Bahts per adult (£6) and 200 Bahts (£4) per child. We spent over 2 hours in them
Below are a few of the photos of our visit
